The short version
Praatbox keeps browser storage to a minimum. We don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere — not on this marketing site, not in the dashboard, and not in the embedded widget on your visitors' browsers.
Signing in to the dashboard
Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. When you sign in at app.praatbox.com, Firebase keeps your session in your browser's own local storage (IndexedDB / localStorage) so you stay signed in between visits — it isn't a tracking cookie, and it stays on your device. Signing out clears it.
On your visitors' browsers
The embedded chat widget uses one localStorage entry per site — keyed as praatbox-chat-<your-license-id> — to keep a visitor's conversation continuous across page loads. It is localStorage, not a cookie. No fingerprinting, no cross-site identifiers, no ad networks. Clearing site data removes it.
Analytics
The conversation analytics you see in the dashboard are computed on our own servers from data you already own — they don't rely on any third-party web-analytics tracker or pixel running on your visitors. We don't currently load Google Analytics or a comparable tracker on the widget.
